Cannon auto repair

You don’t have to be anxious about visiting your auto shop for needed automotive service or repairs. To help answer some of your nagging questions about your vehicle, here are a few things you should know that will give you a little more peace of mind while driving down the road:

  1. Paying more for premium and other high octane gases doesn’t make your vehicle run better. Just follow the recommended level of octane your manual suggests and your vehicle will provide you with its best performance.
  2. Fuel additives don’t help your engine get better gas mileage. Additives make such a small difference that it doesn’t make up for the cost. The better thing to remember is to have quality oil changes.
  3. There are a number of different issues that can cause the ‘check engine’ light to come on, such as a faulty gas cap, the O2 sensor, spark plug, or something even more serious. You could replace the gas cap, but if the warning light stays on, it’s time for a visit to your automotive repair shop.
  4. Today’s cars depend on a good battery for features such as the navigation system, TVs, chargers, seat warmers, etc. If your battery is weak or completely dies, make sure you charge it longer than usual to make sure it has the power it needs to run the accessories. Or it could be time for a new battery.

Most independent automotive repair shops want to take care of their customers in the best way possible by providing them with quality automotive service and repairs at affordable prices. They care about their community, reputation, and employees. Their ASE technicians are willing to educate their customers about the automotive service their vehicle requires, when it should be done, and how much it will cost. They help their customers save money by taking care of small problems before they turn into major costly problems.
