Cannon auto repair

Many drivers would like their vehicle to last them several years as they don't intend to purchase a new vehicle very often. A costly car repair can be avoided by giving your vehicle special attention on a daily and weekly basis. Consistent car service will pay off in the long run in terms of reliability and trade-in value.

A daily inspection: As you head out the door to work or school, give yourself a few extra minutes and take a quick walk around your car.

  • Is there any damage to the paint or body?
  • How do the tires look for air pressure and tread?
  • Is there any fluid leaking onto your garage floor?

Any of these issues could cause serious problems. The time it takes to do a quick inspection every day will be worth the time spent and money saved in a potential car repair.

A weekly inspection: Set aside 15 minutes each week to check the following:

  • Tire pressure, tread depth and general condition of all four tires AND the spare
  • Check fluid levels—oil, coolant, brakes, windshield washer, power steering
  • Check to make sure that all of the lights are working, both exterior and interior
  • Inspect your windshield wiper blades
  • Inspect the bodywork for any serious damage that may cause your vehicle to operate poorly or that may cause a driving hazard.
  • Check all the mirrors and windows to make sure they are clean and free of any cracks or chips
  • Wash the vehicle - a clean car will last a lot longer than a dirty one!

These daily and weekly car service check-ups will save you time and money you may have to spend at a car repair shop. You can have confidence that your vehicle will give you good service for many more miles.
