Choosing the Right Auto Shop for Your Car

Choosing the right auto service or auto center can be such a hassle. It can be incredibly difficult to know which auto center is going to be right for you, which center is going to be able to work on your car, and which auto service is going to fulfill your needs. There are some things you can do, however, to ensure your car is in the right place and the right hands.

  • Shop Certification and Qualification: The first, and perhaps the most important, is the overall certification of the shop. This shows what technicians have been trained in, what the shop is able to do, and what you can expect from the shop when you drop your vehicle off. Are they able to work on your type of vehicle, are they able to do collision repair, and so on?
  • Warranty: Another thing to consider is whether the shop offers a warranty on their work. This can do two things: first, it will let you know that they are sure of their work, and they are sure in their skill and the skill of their technicians. Another thing that this does is help you to save money, and allows you an easy way to get your vehicle repaired if the initial repairs fail.
  • Overall Schedule and Accessibility: Still another thing to keep in mind is how easy it is to schedule and get to the shop. Do they offer after-hours drop-off? Do they have long hours on the weekend, are they going to be able to fit your bicycle into the repair schedule, and so on?
  • Reviews: The last thing you want to look for is of course, are reviews. This can be both word of mouth and online reviews. You want to know what people think of the shop, as this is perhaps the truest representation of the shop and what they are going to be able to do for you.

Wondering how to choose the right auto service for your vehicle? Contact our ASE-certified technicians at Cannon Auto Repair for more information about the auto center and to schedule an appointment.
